THE MASK
Metaphorically, the mask has always been an interesting concept. Not only in Films, but also in literature, as well as, in life. The idea of the mask has always been an intriguing aspect to me.
I thoroughly enjoy the use of the mask to tell a story. The use of the mask is prominent within superhero films and depictions for example. You know, the common examples such as Batman, Superman, Spiderman, and so on. The concept of the mask within this concept, is to prevent the audience from discovering his true identity. 'He' -the hero is in disguise. Similarly to my project, the musketeer is in disguise, 'she' remains a mystery to the audience. Yet, she addresses the audience, by her constant glances to the audience. Giving away the depiction, that perhaps she is scared, shy or mysteriously even aloof... Additionally, the messy hair adds to this madness & authenticness in which I wanted to achieve....
THE number 8 ball

The No.8 Ball remains a mystery, it is commonly known to predict/help guide a user in choosing the right decision. However, I purposely didn't show the prediction, as I wanted my audience to think for themselves, and decide what prediction did the musketeer choose. The No.8 was used to connote mystery, strangeness, and even arguably a sense of aloneness for the viewer.
THE DECK OF CARDS
We can't do magic and mystery without a deck of cards. I remember another inspirational film called the Croupier, where the constant use of deck of cards could arguably be seen as connoting his nervousness at different stages of his life. The deck of cards within my short trailer is fast, quick, and not according to rules(as the music states). Perhaps the Lost Musketeer of Creek Lane is in a rush of escaping or finding hope? This is for the audience to decide.
